Valbella–Muldain–Domleschg–Chur

Along the Alte Schyn trail to the pretty villages of the Domleschg valley.

GroupsPasses and mountainsSport and fun

Take the Postbus from Chur to Valbella, then ride along an old mule track into the Domleschg valley. This bike tour starts in Valbella and passes the sparkling waters of Lake Heid. Next comes the canal path to Lain and Muldain, where the Alte Schyn trail begins. This bike trail is an old mule track, the highlight of which is a pitch black tunnel. After the tunnel the track descends to Scharans, very steeply in some places. The tour then continues on little-used tracks through the pretty villages of the Domleschg valley. Just before Paspels little Lake Canova provides a welcome  opportunity to cool off and have a picnic, after which the tour takes in Tomils and Rothenbrunnen en route to Domat/Ems. The last section is a cycle path back to the starting point in Chur.
