Enjoy an exciting journey alongside the Swiss National Park from Scuol to the remote hamlet of S-charl. A visit to the child-friendly Schmelzra Museum offers an interesting insight into the life of the miners and invites visitors to follow the trail of the bears.

«Auf den Spuren der Bären» (On the trail of the bears) is the title of the Swiss National Park special exhibition in the Schmelzra. Switzerland's last brown bear was killed in S-charl in 1904. The exhibition demonstrates the significance attached to bears in the past and explores the return of the brown bear to Switzerland.

• S-charl can be reached by Postbus from 2 June to 1 November 2011.
• The museum is located next to the «Schmelzra» PostBus stop.
• Schmelzra Museum opening hours: Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 2-5p.m., closed Monday and Saturday
• The museum exhibition is vividly presented and is therefore an attractive experience, particularly for families with children.
• Why not combine this trip with a walk through the ruggedly picturesque Swiss stone pine forests.
