PubliCar Lenzerheide-Albula
24-hour public transport service
The PubliCar Lenzerheide-Albula complements the night services provided by Lenzerheide and the municipality of Albula. This means that a 24-hour public transport service will be provided from Monday to Sunday during the winter season. This is a first in Switzerland!
Background
Lenzerheide is well connected with a high-performance night service on the Chur–Lenzerheide/Lai–Lantsch/Lenz–Tiefencastel route. Davos and Tiefencastel are covered by a further night service. The villages around Tiefencastel and the scattered districts of Lenzerheide were no longer accessible by public transport at night.
Objective
The aim of the PubliCar Lenzerheide-Albula service is to provide continuous night-time public transport connections to all villages and districts in the municipalities of Vaz/Obervaz, Lantsch/Lenz and Albula.

Concept
The night services are operated as area transport with physical and virtual stops. Timetables are communicated as a guideline with times that are coordinated with traffic on the main routes. The service is visible in the SBB Mobile app and benefits from pooling from the main nodes of Lenzerheide/Lai, Post and Tiefencastel. Demand is covered by two to three vehicles, which can be booked independently of the timetable.
Service
Swiss public transport fares and tickets apply to the entire service. No special night or convenience surcharges apply.
