​​Postbuses now travel to Beatenberg every half an hour​
​​Timetable change on 10 December 2023​

PostBus route 101 Interlaken West–Beatenberg will become more attractive when the timetable changes on 10 December 2023. Passengers now also benefit from a continuous half-hourly service in the morning. There is also an additional early service from Interlaken West during the week.

Route 101 between Interlaken West and Beatenberg, Station is becoming increasingly popular. While 137,000 passengers were travelling annually by Postbus on this route in 2019, this figure will rise to more than 155,000 by the end of 2023. This is why the service is now being expanded: as of the timetable change on 10 December, Postbuses will start running every half an hour in the morning instead of every hour. A half-hourly service is already available in the afternoon.

There is also an improvement on route 101 in the early morning. A Postbus departs from Interlaken West to Beatenberg at 6.35 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays. The first service used to leave at 7.05 a.m. A Postbus is now in use, whereas before it was a taxi that ran on behalf of PostBus. The new vehicle offers more comfort and is also suitable for people with a disability.
