A race combining sport and discovering the Valais region.

The BCVS Valais Terroir Marathon is back on 13 May with new routes in the Rhône plain based on the theme of “works of art”. The mythical 42 km race links the old town of Sion and the Roman city of Martigny in the heart of the Valais mountains and orchards. Shorter circuits ranging from 5 km to 21 km are also planned starting from the central square in Martigny. All races end at the Stade d’Octodure athletics track.

Whether you’re a sportsperson or a foodie, with family or friends, you’re bound to find a race that suits you.

To help you get to the finish line, Valais producers will have food stalls offering you products and recipes from the region. And if that’s not enough, bus 311 from Sion to Martigny can take you to your destination.

And after the race, the enjoyment begins! The CERM in Martigny welcomes you to continue the festivities until the end of the night at the Maratho’Night event. The 311 Lunabus will then take you safely home to Sion.
