3-lakes circular hike from Grimsel Pass

Legs of the hike: Grimsel Pass–Totensee (lake)–Huusegg Hut–Triebtenseewli–Lake Grimsel–Grimsel Pass

On this 3-lake hike enjoy spectacular views of the Grimsel region and idyllic mountain lakes.

After a winding postbus ride up to Grimsel Pass, start your hike with a steep ascent to the Huusegg Hut. Shortly thereafter, the rocky trail reaches a hill from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Triebtenseewli mountain lake. The Triebtenseewli invites you to relax after the strenuous climb and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains in a tranquil setting.

To return, take the road towards Grimsel Pass. On the last leg of this circular hike, you will cross the mountain pass road twice and, with a little luck, hear the famous three-tone horn of an approaching postbus. At your final destination, the renovated Hotel Grimsel Passhöhe awaits you with its beautiful sun terrace.

For a more challenging return option, follow the hiking trail along Grimsel Lake to Grimsel Hospice restaurant – a special treat for lovers of French cuisine.
