Starting in Flums, the journey takes you through several serpentine bends up to the Flumserberg. The view of the Seeztal and the fascinating Churfirsten mountain range is impressive. On the Flumserberg, a magnificent, varied landscape awaits you.
A peaceful gondola ride from Tannenboden takes you to the Maschgen ridge. This is the starting point for the wonderful, safe ridge hike which leads you across seven peaks. Please allow enough time to really enjoy the constantly changing landscapes. The High Alpine scenery of the Graubünden, Glarner and Central Swiss Alps, and local mountain ranges and meadows will catch your eye. To round off the tour, you have a splendid view down to Lake Walen. Hiking time: 5.5-6 hrs.
Take the train to Sargans and continue on PostBus route 441to Flumserberg, Kabinenbahn. The base station of the Maschgen ridge cable car is opposite the PostBus stop.
Buy your ticket from the SBB Shop or SBB Mobile app. You can also buy a ticket from the driver, at all ticket terminals, PostBus sales offices and at the counter of your nearest railway station.

Route open all year
By train to Sargans, continue by postbus (route 441) to Flumserberg, up to Maschgen Ridge by cable car. The base station of the Maschgen Ridge cable car is located opposite the PostBus stop.
