Airolo awaits you for a winter full of recreation and fun, offering skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking as well as relaxation and rest for all age groups. Come to Airolo and experience a great winter season!
Airolo is not only a well-known village at the foot of the Gotthard massif, but also a popular destination for nature and mountain lovers. Thanks to its privileged location south of the Alps and surrounded by mountains, Airolo almost always offers optimal snow conditions. The resort boasts a wide range of activities for everyone, from beginners to experts and from sports enthusiasts to those who just want to go for a walk out in nature.
From the bus stop "Airolo, funivia", in a few minutes you can reach the valley station of the cable car which takes you to the ski area of Airolo-Pesciüm. 30 km of slopes await you here, from easy ones for beginners to more demanding and challenging slopes for experienced skiers and snowboarders, reaching an altitude of 2250 m in Varozzei. In Pesciüm, there are also three fabulous snowshoe trails with a total length of eight kilometres.
From the bus stop "Airolo, Buco dei Cavalli" you can reach the ski lifts of Airolo-Lüina, a winter paradise for children and the starting point of a great winter hiking trail suitable for the whole family. This ski area offers a lot of fun too: a carousel with rubber dinghies, a snow park and different kinds of entertainment create a tailor-made environment for families!
