Alter Schyn

Valbella–Muldain–Domleschg–Chur

Via the Alter Schyn passage to the charming villages of the Domleschg Valley.

Travel on the Postbus from Chur to Valbella to reach the Domleschg Valley via an old pack-mule trail. This tour starts in Valbella and takes you along the sparkling Lake Heid. Continue on the canal trail to Lain and Muldain, where the Alter Schyn begins. The bike route follows an old pack-mule trail whose highlights include a pitch-dark tunnel. After that, the trail dips, steeply in places, to Scharans. From here, follow the route through the charming villages of the Domleschg Valley. Just before Paspels, little Canova Lake offers you the chance to cool off and enjoy a picnic. The tour continues via Tomils and Rothenbrunnen to Domat/Ems. For the last part, you can take a bike path back to the starting point in Chur.
