Starting in Bargis, the Bargis–Laax–Falera Route climbs up a spectacularly narrow road to Flims and continues high above the Rhine Gorge to Falera.
The Bargis–Laax–Falera route leads from Bargis to Surselva (anterior Rhine Valley) and Falera with Flims–Laax–Falera ski regions. In traffic-free Bargis - where you’re sure of snow – visitors revel in a lovely 7.5 length of cross-country pistes as well as numerous winter hiking paths (PostBus stop, Flims, Bargis). Cross-country fans also delight in Flims-Trin (36km) and Sagogn (15.5 km) tracks where they can certainly stretch their legs! Flims, Laax and Falera are departure points for the extensive Flims-Laax-Falera skiing regions (PostBus stops Flims, Bergbahnen; Laax GR, Bergbahnen and Falera, Posta). There’s no end of winter sports adventure in this ski region with two hundred kilometres of ski pistes, kids snow-wonderland, snow park, Halfpipe and Freeride areas for snowboarders, as well as winter hiking and sled paths. Laax lures snowboarders with innovative hotels and unique Après-Ski atmosphere together with renowned snowboard events, while Falera and Flims are more on the quiet side.
The Cresta, Cauma and Laax lakes also offer refreshing fun with a swim in summer (PostBus stops Trin, Felsbach; Flims Waldhaus, Caumasee; Laax GR, See/Lag). And along the region’s extensive hiking and mountain bike paths you discover the unique beauty of the Graubünden mountain world. The Rhine Gorge, known as Switzerland’s Grand Canyon, thrills hikers and river rafters alike. Experience cultural highs in the prehistoric La Motta Falera park and Hotel Waldheim Films, where the «Belle Époque» hotel museum presents relics from this era (PostBus stop Films, Signs).
