We don’t know why the founder of the Kurhaus Cademario called it the "philosophers' trail", but maybe you can imagine why if you walk along this path in the peace and quiet of nature.
From Lugano, the postbus takes you to the "Cademario, Kurhaus" stop, where the philosophers' trail begins. The easy, well-signposted route leads through a magical landscape: the Caroggio plain is a small clearing enclosed in the Magliasina valley, with chestnut woods and a lively biotope near the Alpe Agra. The path winds through the majestic natural arena below the Mount Gradiccioli. On this pleasant and relaxing hike you will reach the Croce di Arosio (Cross of Arosio) in a short time, from where the view sweeps over the upper part of Malcantone and the mountain range between Monte Lema and Monte Tamaro.
