When the snow has bid farewell, Carì takes on a completely different appearance and is decked out in a blazing green. Between meadows and forests, the high-altitude village offers pleasant walks and ideal surroundings for a picnic.
Carì, a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Faido, is famous for its ski slopes and winter landscape. But Carì also has a lot to offer during the summer season. Nestled in a splendid natural setting at an altitude of 1650 m and almost always bathed in sunshine, it is the perfect place to spend a day in the open air. The journey from Faido to the village is already a beautiful excursion in itself, as the postbus takes narrow roads along typical houses and idyllic landscapes and passes through several hamlets, such as Rossura, Primadengo or Molare. In Carì, PostBus stop "Carì, Paese", there is no lack of leisure opportunities: pleasant walks in the middle of greenery, between forests and pastures, or more difficult excursions to the surrounding mountain tops. The educational path "Il Montanaro" is especially worth a visit. It leads from the village to 2000 m above sea level, where there is also a restaurant and from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding peaks and the valley. Continuing along the path, you can reach Lake Carì with its crystal-clear cold waters, nestled in a sumptuous alpine setting (about 45 minutes from the restaurant). During the summer months, between the end of July and the end of August, it is also possible to reach the summit by chairlift.
