Circular hike Glaubenberg over the Fürstein
Hike between Waldemme and Lake Sarnen
Every step forward is worth the effort on the ascent of the 2040-metre-high Fürstein. It is counted among the best known panoramic mountains as the highest peak between Waldemme and Lake Sarnen. On reaching the summit you’re rewarded with sweeping views extending from the Pilatus, direction northeast, to the Bernese Alps, direction southwest.
Breathtakingly beautiful! By the parking lot on the Glaubenberg pass (PostBus stop Glaubenberg Passhöhe), you set off on a tarmac and gravel path directly behind the restaurant. After five minutes walk, the path (arrow to the sign) branches off left into the forest. Now the ascent through the forest and over the ridge towards Rickhubel and the Fürstein follows. The descent leads to Sewenseeli (with an inviting bench to sit, rest and ponder in front of the chapel), then over alpine meadows and back to your starting point.
