Entlang des Rümligs
Loop hike at the foot of Mt. Pilatus
In Schwarzenberg you find yourself in the midst of nature with fields of flowers, cool forests and clear streams.
Take the Postbus from Malters towards Schwarzenberg, alighting at the stop Mattgut. Then continue on foot to Egg and Munistein via the alpine road. The road ends at the Rümlig stream. Now continue along the Rümlig, walking upstream. In the first, flat section, there are picturesque campfire spots directly in the stream bed. Note that you will not be following a marked hiking trail on this adventure tour, but will simply be following the course of the stream. For this reason, waterproof shoes are recommended. You will soon come to the Rümlig gorge, where progress can only be made by clambering from rock to rock. It is possible to continue by briefly swimming at times. At the Haseleggstäg rest area, you will leave the stream’s path and will make your way to Schwarzenberg on a marked hiking trail.
Important
Embark on this trip only when there are comfortable water temperatures and low water levels – never when there are thunderstorms! Secure your children with a rope. Not suitable for small children. Store your change of clothes and gear in a waterproof plastic bag.
