Falera–Ladir–Ruschein–Siat
Senda Sursilvana
The beauty of the Surselva region is easy to explore on foot, for example, by hiking a section of the well-known Senda Sursilvana long-distance trail from Falera to Siat.
The starting point of this hike is Falera. From this charming village, the path takes a westerly direction across lush meadows and on through shady woods to Val Cafegns. From there, the trail climbs up to the mountain pastures of Laneras and levels off somewhat as it passes Prau Davon on the way to Bual. This route offers spectacular views of Foppa and the surrounding area. The trail continues downhill through Ladir to Ruschein with its distinctive churches. For a slightly longer hike you could continue on to Siat. PostBus service to Ilanz is available in Ladir, Ruschein and Siat.
Hiking time:
approx. 2 ½ hours to Ruschein
approx. 3 ½ hours to Siat
Level of difficulty:
