The Four Headwaters Trail is a family-friendly, marked hiking trail of 85 km leading to the sources of the four rivers Rhine, Reuss, Ticino and Rhone. It can be covered in stages of several individual days or a five-day hiking tour.
Experience the peaks and glaciers of Europe’s greatest watershed. The Four Headwaters Trail will take you into the fabled Gotthard Massif to the sources of the four great rivers: the Rhine, Reuss, Ticino and Rhone, flowing to all four quarters of the compass. The mountain trails can be covered in five days, with the nights spent in the mountain huts directly along the trail or at cosy hotels in the nearby villages.
Escape the rat race and enjoy the cultural and natural diversity which await you in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
The postbus takes you comfortably and easily to the starting and finishing points of the Four Headwaters Trail.
