Hiking Willerzell Stöcklichrüz – Lachen SZ

Views from Lake Zurich to Lake Sihl

Beautiful views between Lake Sihl and Lake Zurich from Willerzell to Stöcklichrüz – Lachen.

After just a short climb you have a beautiful view of the Sihlsee, the surrounding villages, the monastery at Einsiedeln, and towards Zurich. On the mountain ridge you can see the Wägitaler and Glarner Alps. You then continue across Alpine meadows along the edge of the woods. An hour later, you reach Alp Summerig and after another 15 minutes, Alp Grueb. From here it is just a stone's throw to Stöcklichrüz. The climb is rewarded with a magnificent view. You have the Zurich area and the whole of eastern Switzerland at your feet, and a view of the wonderful Alpine panorama to the east and south. Everything is explained on the panorama board. The trail is also suitable for families with children but not for pushchairs. The descent to Lachen is clearly marked on the Alpine panorama trail.
