Hike up to the Menzberg viewing platform
A tour away from the busy hiking trails — this route from Menznau up to Menzberg has lots of wonderful views to offer.
The wonderful panoramic views from Menzberg are well worth sweating for. On the way there, we’ll pass by beautiful farms and hike on pleasant paths. Around two thirds of the way along the route, the Ofenlochrutsche picnic area offers the ideal place to recharge. Then we follow to the Alpine Panorama Trail No. 3 to the Oberlehn vantage point and hike along the ridge to the village of Menzberg, which is rich in views. In Menzberg, you can while away the time on the terrace of the Landgasthof Hotel Menzberg while waiting for the Postbus.
Did you know that Menzberg is the highest village in the Napf region standing at 1,016 metres above sea level and often lying above a sea of fog in the winter months? Menzberg is also the starting point for many beautiful hikes in all directions.
Tip: enjoy the view from the Oberlehn viewpoint and the panoramic terrace at the Landgasthof Hotel Menzberg.
