The Muggio valley follows the course of the Breggia river known for its deep gorges, which has a history going back millions of years. In this valley, the historical and cultural heritage of rural buildings is particularly well preserved and protected. Go on a discovery tour and explore the testimonies of the past scattered throughout the area.
In Cabbio (bus stop "Cabbio, Posta") you will find the Ethnographic Museum of the Muggio Valley, the Casa Cantoni. The village can be easily reached by postbus from Morbio Inferiore or from Castel San Pietro. After visiting the exhibitions, go and see the Graa as well, which is a restored chestnut drying hut used to dry the chestnuts in autumn. On the way back to Morbio Inferiore, the postbus passes through Bruzella, another beautiful village. From the bus stop "Bruzella, Paese" you can reach the famous mill of Bruzella, which operates regularly, in only fifteen minutes on foot. In Caneggio (bus stop "Caneggio, Paese") you will find a beautiful chestnut wood, ideal for a walk in the midst of nature. Thanks to its rich historical treasures, visiting this valley is a unique and worthwhile experience.
