Fun Times on Pizol

Active but far from mass tourism

Away from the usual tourist crowds, the Pizol with 43 km of certified ski runs, the new Pizol Panorama circular hiking path and other winter sport attractions is a pleasure to visit. The speed measuring run, the Family Cross, an airboard track, and one of the longest sledding trails in Eastern Switzerland are sure to offer a lot of fun.

The base stations of the Pizolbahnen gondolas in Bad Ragaz and Wangs are just a short ride from Zurich or St. Gallen. The gondolas quickly take you up to an altitude of over 2,200 m where the winter sports enthusiasts enjoy a fantastic view all the way to Lake Constance.

With its 43 km of slopes and 11 ski lifts, this region offers descents for all tastes and requirements. Wide, gentle slopes for the easy-going skiers alternate with more challenging descents for ambitious snow fans. A permanent giant slalom, the Vreni Schneider Run, ignites the racing fever in young and older skiing talents, and the family cross promises lots of fun for the whole family.

Ski & Spa

The combination offer "Ski & Therme" makes it possible to enjoy a winter day out in the snow and perfect relaxation in the Tamina thermal baths in Bad Ragaz at the end of the afternoon at favourable conditions. Tickets are available at the bottom stations of the Pizol mountain railways. Further information

A well-groomed sledge run of between 3.5 and 7 km leads through snowy forests from Furt via Maienberg down into the valley. The lower part descending from Maienberg is quite challenging and only suitable for experienced sledge users. Once a week, a night sledging event is organized on the illuminated run. An airboarding run of 3.2 km between Laufböden and Pardiel offers varied freeriding possibilities and guarantees lots of fun for beginners as well as advanced fans. The boards can be rented at the Pardiel top station at Bad Ragaz. Further information
