The PostBus route 124 operates between 1 May and 1 November of each year on Saturdays and Sundays as well as public holidays from the Oensingen train station to Roggen and back.
Roggen is a great destination for an outing and offers varied possibilities for short walks or longer hikes. Before heading out, you can stop at the restaurant where an enticing menu together with a magnificent view of the plains and the alps await the guests. A large terrace is available if the weather is nice. The little ones will have fun on the children's playground.
Benefit from the varied offer and explore the unspoilt nature sceneries on and around the Roggen. You might want to descend to Balsthal and enjoy the great views of the hilly countryside along the way. Or you choose to visit the castle of Neu-Bechburg with its large and attractive park with barbecue, water fountain, biotope, and romantic paths.
In Oensingen and Balsthal, you have regular train connections in the direction of Olten and Solothurn.

The Roggen restaurant offers a peaceful setting and a wonderful view of the Swiss alps, high above the busy life and foggy weather of the plains below. The menu has home-made, seasonal and sustainably produced specialities which also put a focus on nature. Enjoy the large terrace if the sun is out, and drink in the impressive mountain sceneries.

The Neu-Bechburg castle is situated above Oensingen on the southern slope of the Roggenfluh lookout point and is worth a visit. A tour of the castle and its park, a barbecue area, a historic tea room, a pond with a water fountain, a biotope, a waterfall, and romantic walking paths enchant the visitors. The Neu-Bechburg castle can also be rented for business or private events.
