From Saaser Alp to St. Antönien
Küblis–Pany–St. Antönien
As the name says, the Prättigau High Route takes you up to lofty heights and past mountain settlements, summer pastures and alps on the way to St. Antönien.
A gondola will whisk you up from Klosters Village to Saaser Alp (Madrisa). After an easy uphill section to Untersäss, the trail continues in western direction across a brook to lower Mässplatten, Dachjistein and through meadows to the high mountain settlement of Zastia. The route passes the remains of the huts of an abandoned summer pasture on the way to Fürggli. The short side trip to Jägglisch-Horn (approx. 15 min.)is well worth the effort: you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view. The descent leads via Aschariner Alp to St. Antönien Platz where a PostBus is ready to drive you to Küblis.
Hiking time: approx. 5 hours
Level of difficulty: medium
