Fancy immersing yourself in a world that combines power, fascination, technology and world history?
The Saurer Museum, located on the idyllic shores of Lake Constance, has realized this idea very aptly. The museum’s volunteer operators strive to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience and plenty of insight into the Saurer company. In addition to historic and still operational vehicles such as trucks, busses, military vehicles, fire trucks and post busses, there are also embroidery machines and looms of all generations on display, all of which were manufactured in Arbon and continue to be in use.
Enjoy a fascinating journey into contemporary history in a rustic museum that smells of workshop, oil and machines. Because all these vehicles, embroidery machines and looms have a very unique story to tell – you just need a bit of time to listen carefully…
To book a guided tour for groups of 10 persons or more please contact Arbon tourism. A visit of the museum is ideally combined with an overnight stay, an aperitif or a nice lunch at the Hotel Wunderbar right next door.
