You won’t have to look long for nature here – you’re surrounded by it. In the idyllic Val S-charl, mountain bikers are amazed by how untouched the countryside is.
Starting in Scuol, a small steadily rising road passes through the idyllic Val S-charl. You could also take a PostBus for this first section to save your strength for the rest of the trip.
Cosy restaurants in S-charl beckon you to stop for refreshments. The tour continues along a forest road up to Alp Astras where the trail splits. To the right, a road climbs steeply up to Fuorcla Funtana da S-charl and to the Ofen Pass (alternative route), but you will go left and follow the single track via Pass da Costainas to Alp Champatsch and down to Tschierv in Val Müstair. Then you continue to Sta. Maria via Fuldera and Valchava. The PostBus ride across the Ofen Pass back to the Lower Engadine at the end of the day is the icing on the cake.
