Discover a fascinating corner of Malcantone on this themed walk, which encourages you to reflect on the importance of a valuable asset that is often taken for granted: water.
The “rethinking water” path starts in Molinazzo, one of the 26 villages that make up the municipality of Monteggio. It immerses you completely in nature and encourages you to reflect on the importance of water.
The first stage of the route can be accessed from the “Molinazzo di Monteggio, Posta” or the “Ramello” stop. From there, the path winds its way alongside the Pevereggia stream for almost 10 kilometres. You can also start further along the path at any of the various PostBus stops. Along the circular route, there are 14 boards providing information and food for thought about water, how we use it, and how the land was used in centuries past. Several legs of this route also offer fascinating insights into the historical and architectural heritage of the Malcantone area, such as the Camino Baglioni, the Trezzini mill, the wash house and much more. A relaxed walk in a beautiful natural setting, brimming with information and food for thought.
