On arrival in Sörenberg after travelling through the Entlebuch region, you find yourself in the heart of the UNESCO biosphere. A trip on the cable car takes you to Rossweid. The Rossweid experience restaurant and the Mooraculum, the largest moorland adventure park in the Alps, encourage visitors to linger a while. Young and old alike can learn lots of interesting facts about the moorland. This is the starting point for the wonderful hike to Kemmeriboden-Bad.
From the village of Sörenberg, you can take the cable car up to Rossweid. You continue along a mostly flat path to Salwideli before heading slightly downhill to Kemmeriboden-Bad. Along the way, why not stop for a bite to eat at the Berggasthaus Salwideli.
The trail is well marked and leads through beautiful and largely untouched mountain landscape. The legendary Schrattenfluh to the right and the Brienzer Rothorn range to the left are always in sight along the way. At the Landgasthof Kemmeriboden, the famous Kemmeriboden meringues await you for the grand finale. The Rossweid cable car spares you the effort of the climb, making the hike suitable for less experienced hikers and families too.
