Vals – small but nice
A winter’s day at the Dachberg
Relax in the thermal spa, have fun on the ski slopes, or both!
The small but exquisite skiing resort (PostBus stop Vals, Post; change to the free ski bus) offers some 25 km of slopes (four lifts and one cable car) to skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts with descents for any level of experience. The more courageous will also enjoy the freeride route. The slopes extend over an area with an altitude of 3,000 m.a.s.l. all the way down to the village at 1,250 m.a.s.l. Perfect for a long downhill run!
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Vals has plenty of other activities to offer winter fans. All the details can be found here.
After a day outdoors, you can relax in the thermal spa of Vals (PostBus stop Vals, Therme). Six pools, sound stones, resting areas, massages, and the peaceful ambiance in the middle of a winter landscape invite you to unwind. The thermal spa built by Peter Zumthor is a listed building. Its walls made with local quartzite stone are in perfect harmony with the mountain scenery and reflect the natural surroundings.
A leisurely stroll through the small, pretty village is the perfect way to round off the day.
