Val Lumnezia, the Valley of Light, where mountain streams converge and the landscape is dotted by beautiful churches, is an attractive hiking area.
The trail begins in Vrin and leads down the valley, over a bridge across the Glenner river and along the right-hand side of the valley to the tiny village of Surin. On a hill to the northwest of this hamlet is the Crestaulta settlement, dating back to the early Bronze Age. The trail continues down the valley to the new suspension bridge, providing a connection for hikers between the villages of Pruastg and Silgin. The trail then climbs gently uphill to Surcasti. On a rock just below the village, at the confluence of Glenner and Valserrhein, stands the church of St. Laurentius with its bell tower which served as a lookout back in the 13 thcentury. Finally, the route takes you across a bridge built in 1962 to Uors.
