From Einsiedeln, the Hoch-Ybrig route takes you along the Sihlsee to the Hoch-Ybrig holiday region. Einsiedeln attracts thousands of pilgrims every year with its baroque abbey complex and the “Black Madonna” (PostBus stop: Einsiedeln, Bahnhof). In addition to guided tours of the abbey, you can also visit the museums, the Nativity diorama and the Crucifixion of Christ panorama.

In summer, you can have lots of fun in the fresh air along the network of hiking trails, on the golf course and at the Sternensauser zip line. The Sihlsee lake offers a wide range of water sports activities (PostBus stop: Euthal, Höhport).

The Unteriberg holiday area is the starting point for the Hoch-Ybrig hiking region. From there, the Postbus will transport you either to the Weglosen valley station or via Oberiberg to the Laucheren valley station. Enjoy the region along the network of hiking trails, which has many barbecue areas. There are also playgrounds and other activities for you to enjoy.

7-Egg hike

The family-friendly hike offers a magnificent view of the Mythen – the 3,000-metre peaks of central Switzerland – and the lakes and valleys. The starting point for the hike is the Spirstock in Hoch-Ybrig. The ridge trail leads via Laucherenchappelen and Windegg to Sternenegg, before passing through Alpine pastures to Ibergeregg. Continue along the Brünnelistock to Müsliegg and over the Stäglerenegg to Holzegg, which lies at the foot of the imposing Mythen. Finally, there’s the descent into the valley to Brunni. Those who don’t want to descend to Brunni on foot can take the cable car down.
