Discover the vineyard trails at Les Coteaux du Soleil by taking PostBus route 331 towards Conthey, where the picturesque village of Bourg awaits you. At the heart of the village, you will find Tour Lombarde, the starting point for the Conthey vineyard trail.

Lined with educational boards, this trail enables you to discover the wide range of cultivated grape varieties, the different methods of vineyard management and the richness of the geology, flora and fauna in the region.

Tour Lombarde

Tour Lombarde is home to a wine-tasting cellar with a beautiful terrace, where you can rest and relax. Upstairs, an art gallery offers exhibitions featuring paintings, sculptures and other art forms.

Opening hours for Tour Lombarde: Wed to Sat, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Next to Tour Lombarde, you will find the Musée de la Forge, which houses a permanent exhibition of photos dedicated to Conthey. The art also extends outdoors, with an exhibition by JMZ entitled “Sur le tranquille étang” (On the tranquil pond) situated around the lake.

The trails

Starting from the lake, a historical trail lined with numbered boards invites you to stroll towards the narrow streets of this medieval village and learn more about its importance during the Middle Ages.

The Conthey vineyard trail also enables you to join the Promenade de l’Amigne by crossing this famous vineyard towards Vétroz. You can either walk for 8 km and then return to Conthey from there or travel to Sion by PostBus route 311.

Option 1:

For the Promenade de l’Amigne: depart from Vétroz, route 331 towards Martigny, stop Vétroz, Poste. Walk uphill towards the church and start the trail.

Option 2:

Depart from Ardon (stop Ardon, Centre), then take the trail towards the Route de la vallée for a walk totalling 11 km.
