The journey begins at the railway station in Sarnen and takes 20 minutes to make its way to Flüeli-Ranft, via Sachseln.
Sachseln is beautifully located on the shores of Lake Sarnen, surrounded by a picturesque mountain landscape and famed for its excellent cuisine and traditional Swiss hospitality.
The natural energy of Flüeli-Ranft
Flüeli-Ranft is a small village, well-known as a site of natural energy, in the heart of Switzerland. Treat yourself to some time away from the stresses of everyday life and recharge your batteries in the great outdoors. The village is home to Brother Klaus (Niklaus von Flüe) and lies on St. James’s trail. Here you will find the birthplace and childhood home of Niklaus von Flüe and the hermitage in the Ranft Gorge.
Visit the listed Germanic art nouveau hotel Paxmontana, which lies on a hill and offers a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Sarnen and the Obwald mountains.
