A winter tradition in Crans-Montana, the Lantern Path will once again be one of the highlights of the season. From 5 December 2025 to 8 March 2026*, this illuminated night walk invites thousands of visitors to enjoy magical experiences that will captivate adults and children alike.
Surrounded by nature, a few steps from the center, the Lantern Path gives pride of place to winter magic: the blanket of snow on the trees and the crackling of snow underfoot sets the stage for an enchanting show by lanternlight when night falls.
Guided by the flickering lanterns, visitors are taken on a walk that paves the way to light displays, captivating concerts and shows, and a thrilling treasure hunt.
This spellbinding walk celebrates the beauty of winter and promises visitors a moment of quiet reflection and immersion in nature.

Go and discover the Songs of a winter night, where each step reveals a little more magic and awakens the imagination. At the end of the path, dreams fade, leaving the dream splashes floating in the night, suspended in the memory of the enchanted forest.

Throughout the winter, the Hameau of Mayens transforms into a place of encounters, sharing and artistic discovery.

Stop for food and drink at Hameau de Mayens

For an even more immersive dining experience, book a gourmet night at the MayenTarget not accessible for a culinary journey back in time. Only available for groups of 8 to 12 people.

Getting there and transport
Easy access to the Lantern Path, departing from Etang Long, from Sion station.

- Journey time: approx. 50 min
Useful information
- The walk is 2 kilometres, takes about 45 minutes and is easy to do. Good winter shoes or snowshoes are recommended.
- Access to the Lantern Path is free.
- The dates and times are from 5 December 2025 to 8 March 2026, from nightfall until 10 p.m. (subject to change due to snow conditions).
