Today, the name Roggen is a reminder of the Roman occupation of Helvetia. The mountain has been named rocca (rock) for around 2,000 years. Well-signposted hiking routesTarget not accessible lead along forest or grass paths through unspoilt nature. The popular Bergrestaurant Roggen is also a good reason to go up Oensingen's local mountain. At 841 metres above sea level, you can enjoy welcome peace and quiet and a wonderful view over the Swiss plateau and the Alps.
