Saas-Fee

The car-free Saas-Fee lies at 1,800 metres above sea level, surrounded by 18 four-thousand-metre peaks! In summer, numerous excursion destinations and hiking opportunities await you. Our marmots are probably the cutest residents of Saas-Fee, and they like nothing more than being fed nuts and carrots all summer long (at either Spielboden or Stafelwald). In winter, Saas-Fee attracts visitors with its fantastically prepared slopes.

Mittelallalin at 3,445 metres

The world’s highest funicular railway transports you to the Mittelallalin, situated at 3,445 metres, where the largest ice pavilion in the world can be found. Experience the Fee Glacier up close! The Allalin revolving restaurant rotates a full 360 degrees in an hour and offers a unique view of the surrounding peaks.

Saas-Grund – Saas-Almagell – Mattmark

Travel along the Mattmark route to discover the beautiful Mattmark Dam Reservoir and the authentic villages of Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell, with their inviting skiing and hiking areas.

Kreuzboden Saas-Grund

On the Kreuzboden, located at 2,400 metres above sea level and overlooking Saas-Grund, you can go hiking, biking or simply enjoy the wonderful panorama by the mountain lake. Children can have fun on rafts or at the water park. Small go-karts are also available free of charge. The Kreuzboden can be accessed with ease via the Saas-Grund cable car.

Hohsaas skiing area

The Hohsaas skiing area (3,100 metres above sea level) offers a breathtaking view of all 18 surrounding four-thousand-metre peaks. 35 kilometres of pistes, a fast-paced fun slope and plenty of adventurous opportunities await you!

Saas-Almagell

Saas-Almagell is the southernmost location in the sun-drenched Saas Valley. At the home of world-class ski racer Pirmin Zurbriggen, old barns, a peaceful atmosphere and a duck pond invite you to linger for a while and explore.

Mattmark Dam Reservoir – a place of natural power

The Mattmark Dam is Europe’s largest earth dam and can be found in the south of the Saas Valley. The reservoir, which is used to produce electricity, is a place of natural power that intrigues visitors – not only for its technical details, but also for its picturesque setting.
