On the Postbus to Hulftegg
Every two hours from the Töss Valley and Toggenburg
PostBus route 766 is being extended from Hulftegg to Steg in the Töss Valley. The extended route is available on weekends and public holidays from May to October. This means that Hulftegg can now be reached from Toggenburg and the Töss Valley every two hours. The Gasthaus Hulftegg offers passengers a free dessert with their lunch.

The Hulftegg not only offers a fine breakfast buffet on Sundays – it is also a popular starting point for hikes. Day trips to the Hörnli, Schnebelhorn and Chrüzegg start here. Thanks to the extension of PostBus route 766, the Hulftegg is now accessible by public transport from the Töss Valley for the first time. There are very good train connections from both valleys towards Hulftegg:
- In Steg: from the S26 from Winterthur and Rüti ZH
- In Bütschwil: from the S9 from Wil and Wattwil

The Hulftegg can also be reached by the vintage Postbus from Bauma–Steg. The service is available on Sundays from May to October on days when Steamtrain association Zürcher Oberland is runningTarget not accessible.
A special fareTarget not accessible applies on the vintage Postbuses. The GA Travelcard, Half Fare Travelcard and tickets for the ZVV, Z-Pass and Ostwind fare networks are not accepted on these journeys.

Anyone travelling to Hulftegg on PostBus route 766 or in the vintage train operated by Steamtrain association Zürcher Oberland who has lunch at the Gasthaus Hulftegg will receive a free dessert.
