Lake Flachsee near Unterlunkhofen is a popular and well-known recreational destination. On weekends when the weather is nice it draws many visitors from near and far.
Lake Flachsee is a reservoir created during the construction of the Bremgarten-Zufikon power plant and the general improvement of the Reuss plain in the fall of 1975. It was specially designed as a 40-hectare nature reserve for water birds and is the only biotope specifically established for water birds in Switzerland. It is well known among bird watchers for its wide variety of species and especially for rarely seen birds.

Saturday: 6.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.

Monday - Saturday: from 10.00 p.m. Kellerämter Nachttaxi. A supplement of CHF 5.00

Lake Flachsee Unterlunkhofen
Lake Flachsee, known for its wide variety of birds, is a popular destination for bird watchers. The lake is approx. 1.4 km long and extends from the Rottenschwil-Unterlunkhofen Reuss bridge to the Geisshof hamlet.
