The Lipperswil (Conny-Land) Route travels from Müllheim–Wigoltingen across Seerücken mountain near Ermatingen. Enjoy the views of picturesque towns, striking castles, fragrant orchards, rivers and lakes. Explore the multifaceted area around Lower Lake Constance on one of the many hiking, cycling or inline skating trails. There are six castles within the Salenstein municipality: Hubberg Castle (PostBus stop Fruthwilen, Oberfruthwilen), Salenstein Castle (PostBus stop Salenstein, Village), Louisenberg Castle, Eugensberg Castle, the ruins of Sandegg Castle, and Arenenberg Castle (PostBus stop Salenstein, Castle). The Napoleon Museum at Arenenberg Castle includes original furnishings used by Napoleon III. While strolling through Ermatingen on Lower Lake Constance you will come across scenic fishermen’s huts. Tasty fish dishes are served at the antique Hotel Adler. Explore the region’s history, especially the development of winegrowing, in the Vinorama Museum in Ermatingen and while walking through the vineyards (PostBus stop Ermatingen, City Hall). Villa Lilienberg, Wolfsberg Castle, Hard Castle, and the small Rellingsche Castle are attractive sites, all located within the municipality of Ermatingen. After an event-filled day, take a relaxing boat ride or a refreshing swim in Lower Lake Constance.
