A panoramic journey on the Sörenberg Route takes you from Schüpfheim through the UNESCO biosphere Entlebuch and across Glaubenbielen Pass to Giswil.
A host of cultural information about the Entlebuch is available in the Entlebuch Museum of Local History in Schüpfheim (PostBus stop Schüpfheim, Railway Station). In Flühli you could visit one of Switzerland’s most beautiful Kneipp facilities or stroll along a theme path to learn about the history of the local glassworks (PostBus stop Flühli, Post Office). Take a guided hike in the rugged area of Schrattenfluh to explore the extraordinary landscape (PostBus stops Sörenberg, Südelhöchi) or go wildlife watching on the Brienzer Rothorn (PostBus stop Sörenberg, Rothornbahn).
Discover the attractive Salwideli moorlands and treat yourself to some refreshments at the Salwideli mountain restaurant (PostBus stop Sörenberg, Südelhöchi). Other attractions in Sörenberg include the high ropes park (PostBus stop Sörenberg, Post Office) and the summer sledding run (PostBus stop Sörenberg, Ski Lift Rischli).
In Sörenberg you and your family can enjoy the largest winter sports area in the Canton Lucerne with sledding runs and ski slopes going all the way to the Brienzer Rothorn (PostBus stop Sörenberg, Rothornbahn).
In the summer, the Glaubenbielen Pass offers spectacular panoramic views of the area. Meandering up the winding road, you will soon reach Mörlialp, an attractive skiing and hiking area suitable for young and old (PostBus stop Giswil, Mörlialp). Giswil is your starting point for excursions throughout the Canton Obwalden (PostBus stop Giswil, Railway Station).

Giswiler Älplermagronen Path: a tasty delight
This adventurous path leads over Glaubenbielen Pass via the Fuonalp to Giswil. And take a turn at the Fuonalp towards the homely little restaurant and alpine cheese dairy, where you can get a taste of the Älplermagronen speciality and homemade cheeses. A «Cheli» (coffee with schnaps) goes down a treat as well!

Schrattenfluh: as different as chalk and cheese
An extensive natural underground tunnel system is discovered beneath the limestone deposits of the Schrattenfluh, which can be visited. And the region in general, with its moorlands and mountain backdrop, is a paradise for ski tours, hikes and mountain bike fans.
