Travelling by PostBus
Travel to Glaubenberg in the summer season from 13 June to 1 November
The third season of the PostBus tourism route to Glaubenberg is on.
Postbuses travel four times from Entlebuch across the Glaubenberg pass to Langis on weekends and public holidays between 13 June and 1 November. The route is now also operated from Monday to Friday with a departure from Entlebuch, Bahnhof at 08.58 h in the morning and at 13.58 h in the afternoon. The tourism route is very successful, not least because of the attractive public transport circular tour available by train and bus.
Hikers and other visitors can travel the 19 kilometres distance from Entlebuch to the Glaubenberg pass and Langis by postbus. The ride takes about 30 minutes and is available during the summer months. From Langis, passengers can connect with route 344 for further travel to Sarnen.
This route provides the option for an attractive circular tour by public transportation, for example with BLS from Lucerne to Entlebuch, the postbus across Glaubenberg Pass to Langis and Sarnen, and back to Lucerne with Zentralbahn. “This new circular tour by public transportation through the amazing scenery was very popular last year already”, said Romeo Degiacomi, Communication Manager of the Lucerne Transport Association.
GA and half-fare travel passes as well as Passepartout tariff association passes and tickets are accepted on this route. The 3-year pilot phase will end on 1 November 2020 and will show whether passengers have a real need for this offer and whether it will be definitely introduced and possibly even expanded on the Entlebuch side. The first two seasons ended with very positive figures: in 2018, 2300 passengers took advantage of the new route, and in 2019, the occupancy rate was increased by a further 12%.
