100 years Surbtal route

If it were not for the First World War, there would be no Postbuses in Surbtal today. The plan had originally been to build a railway line from Niederweningen to Döttingen, but because SBB ran out of money for the project, an automobile service was set up instead. What began as a temporary solution ended up as a permanent fixture.

The capital of the canton of Jura, was today awarded the “FLUX – Golden Transport Hub” winner’s prize in Berne, outrivaling competition from Dornach-Arlesheim, Interlaken West and Wettingen in the final.

Federal Government grants final approval of the special Brunau motorway exit

Public service buses and postbuses are benefitting from a special motorway exit for public transportation near Zurich-Brunau. Following a two-year trial phase, the Federal Government has decided to give the go-ahead for an indefinite period.
