100 years Surbtal route

If it were not for the First World War, there would be no Postbuses in Surbtal today. The plan had originally been to build a railway line from Niederweningen to Döttingen, but because SBB ran out of money for the project, an automobile service was set up instead. What began as a temporary solution ended up as a permanent fixture. 

Fuel cell Postbuses: PostBus satisfied with project outcome

The PostBus project involving five fuel cell Postbuses in the region of Brugg has come to an end. Covering well over 1 million kilometres between them, the vehicles have demonstrated that it is feasible to use hydrogen in regional passenger transport. 

Federal Government grants final approval of the special Brunau motorway exit

Public service buses and postbuses are benefitting from a special motorway exit for public transportation near Zurich-Brunau. Following a two-year trial phase, the Federal Government has decided to give the go-ahead for an indefinite period.
