Travel advice

During the summer season (May to October), Postbuses operating in tourist areas are equipped with bicycle racks that can accommodate 5 to 6 bicycles, as well as with trailers that can carry between 16 and 20 bicycles. The number of spaces available for transporting bicycles is limited.

In most cases, a maximum of two electric bicycles can be carried on each bicycle rack.

Bicycles must be carried on board by the passengers themselves.

Please pay attention to any notes on the schedule.

Bicycle tour in the magical Lötschental Valley

Lötschental is a truly magical valley, rich in captivating legends, traditions and exceptional customs, with a unique panorama of the mountains and valley. This mountain bike route from Lauchernalp to Wiler combines all these elements. Start the adventure on the Lauchernalp. The more or less flat route takes you across several mountain pastures to Restialp. Here you will find several restaurants that are just right for a relaxing break. Don’t forget to take a photo of the beautiful wooden “Maria zum Schnee” chapel. Go down to Ferden, then via Kippel to Wiler, or continue along the “Valais Alpine Bike” regional route, through several villages to Leukerbad.
