In May 2022, the German-language channel 3sat broadcast the major docu-series “On a Postbus across Switzerland”. The viewership was so encouraging that the broadcaster, together with SRF, commissioned a second season. This was filmed in 2022 and can now be seen in four 50-minute episodes (in german).

The following two episodes will be broadcast on Monday, 27 March 2023:

• 8.15 p.m. “Switzerland’s dream routes – by Postbus over the Gotthard Pass”. Postbus driver Maura Marchetti from Airolo and Domenico Barenco play the leading role.
• 9.05 p.m. “Switzerland’s dream routes – by Postbus through Engadin”: the focus is on the Ftan-Samnaun routes and the drivers Kurt Schmidli and Ludwig Kleinstein.

You can watch episodes 3 and 4 on Monday, 3 April 2023:

• 8.15 p.m. “Switzerland’s dream routes – by Postbus to Val d’Anniviers” with driver Christelle Daoud.
• 9.05 p.m. “Switzerland’s dream routes – by Postbus over the Julier Pass” with driver Martin Egger.

Last summer, the production company’s four film crews travelled to Switzerland for eight weeks to shoot the second season of the PostBus series. The filming involved a huge amount of work not only for the people who made it, but also for the people portrayed in it. Many thanks to the operations teams and the drivers for their hard work. Yes, based on the ratings, 3sat will even consider a third season.
