Bus Sédunois – local transportation in the city of Sion

Easy and convenient – save money every day with public transport!

Do you commute to work? Do you want to find the best way to travel to your workplace? Look no further – we have found it for you! Take advantage of the park and ride facilities of the city of Sion: two car parks are available to you free of charge every day of the week:

  • The Stade car park is situated in the east near to the Tourbillon stadium and has 460 spaces available
  • The Potences car park is situated in the west and has 450 spaces available

These two locations are served regularly by Sion bus services; every ten minutes from the Stade car park (at peak times) and every 20 minutes from the Potences car park. And best of all, your monthly Sion bus travelcard only costs 60 francs. Save money every day with public transport!

Would you like more flexibility in your day-to-day life? Combine city buses, Postbuses and regional trains. This multi-modality represents a real opportunity to reimagine new forms of mobility that are comfortable and sustainable. So what are you waiting for? Take a break from your car and give the public transport experience a go. Our goal is to offer you an even wider range of timetables and combinations. Public transport is easy and convenient!

100% by bus !

The timetable change came into effect on 12 December last year. Following the overhaul of the Sion bus network one year earlier, major improvements have now been integrated, with more frequent services on the BS11 line (Châteauneuf – SUVA) – every 10 minutes – the BS14 line (Bramois-Platta) – every 20 minutes – as well as on the regional lines that serve the capital (Sion-Nendaz, Sion-Martigny, Sion-Anzère, Sion-Crans-Montana). Our goal: reduce private car congestion going towards the town centre.

Travelcards from CHF 42/month

Did you know ? You can buy a Sion bus travelcard for a period of 1 month or 1 year in the zone(s) selected (zone 1, 2, 3). It is integrated directly into your SwissPass to make life easier.
The flexible travelcard allows you to combine a Sion bus travelcard for zone 1 and a travelcard for a specific route (through another transport company), and to get 10% off. Perfect if you travel regularly within the network and beyond.

But also...

Combine travel by city bus, Postbus, regional train, park-and-ride and bicycle for even more convenience !
And let’s not forget free public transport at the weekend (from 5 p.m. on Friday until Saturday at midnight), which has been renewed for 2022.

The Sion buses are at your service. Take advantage !

The BS14 route is running again via Place du Midi

The BS14 Bramois – Champsec – Gare – Platta route has been running via the town center again since 26 June, with stops at Sacré-Cœur, Place du Midi and Cèdres. Connections with trains are always assured. You can find the new timetable for the BS14 route in the Sion bus timetable (pages 30 to 35) which you can download from the “Documents” tab. Enjoy your trip with Sion buses!

Put the fun in your summer with the BS12 line!

Set up during the most recent timetable changes, the Sion-Aproz route connects Sion station with the village of Aproz, departing twice every hour. The bus stops in a number of areas that offer fun activities for all the family: the “Blancherie” outdoor pool; RealFly – the first indoor skydiving simulator in Switzerland; Alaïa Bay – the brand new surfing paradise; Adventure Park – the largest treetop adventure park in the Valais region, and last but not least, the “Domaine des Iles” park and the many open-air activities it has to offer: tennis, minigolf, a tourist train, a play area, paddleboarding, water sports and so on. We also have to mention the park’s beautiful green spaces, which are perfect for picnics and getting some fresh air by the water.

The BS12 route departs from near the station, at the beginning of Rue des Champs-de-Tabac, and can get you to the “Domaine des Iles” park in 10 minutes. From Monday to Saturday, it departs twice every hour between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., and departs six times on a Sunday.

The full timetable, information on fees and route maps are available in the Sion bus timetable, which you can download from the “Documents” tab.

Make the most of the shops in Sion town center and get around for free at weekends!

In order to make Sion town center more dynamic and strengthen its commercial attractiveness, buses in Sion will remain free of charge from Friday at 5 p.m. to Saturday at midnight this year as well! No more excuses! Take advantage of public transport to get around and do your shopping.

More good news: the night bus services on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays that were introduced last spring have been very successful, so will continue to run. With these services, you can get home safely until late all year round by taking the BS11 or BS14 line.

Since the last time the clocks changed, our buses have been operating as frequently on a Saturday as during the rest of the week. Take advantage of our services!

Activate discovery mode!

The Sion bus network is changing from 13 December 2020!

From that point onwards, there will be four lines serving the municipality of Sion :

  • Line BS11 (pink) will take you from Châteauneuf to L'Hôpital via the railway station.
  • Line BS12 (blue) will take you from the railway station towards Aproz.
  • Line BS13 (brown) will take you from the railway station towards Gravelone.
  • Line BS14 (green) will take you from Bramois towards Platta via the railway station and Poste du Nord.

The major change is the new BS12 line, which will serve the area around the station and the village of Aproz, with a bus every 30 minutes.

For information about bus times, fees and for route maps, see the Sion bus timetable, which you can download from the “ Documents ” tab.

New evening services on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Since 12 June, you have been able to take advantage of the Sion bus service and get home safely, even in the early hours. These new services operate on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, stopping in the districts of St-Guérin, Châteauneuf, Garenne (BS1), Vissigen and l’hôpital (BS2), Nord and Platta (BS4), Champsec and Bramois (BS5). You can find the timetables in the detailed flyer, available for download in the “Documents” tab.

Remember that night buses and trams also operate so that you can get home safely in total safety on Fridays and Saturdays – even after midnight!
