Tickets can be purchased online no earlier than two months in advance. The date selected may not be within the booking deadlines.
Children under the age of six who are either accompanied or travelling alone are free of charge.
Children between the ages of 6 and 16, who are either travelling alone or accompanied, pay half the price or the minimum fare for tickets.
Junior Travelcard: if you’re a parent who travels regularly with your own children, we recommend the Junior Travelcard. With the Junior Travelcard, children between the ages of 6 and 16 can travel free of charge on public transport when accompanied by a parent. The accompanying parent must have a valid ticket.
Dogs and small animals with a height at the withers of up to 30 cm may be carried free of charge in suitable containers such as cages or baskets. A reduced second-class fare must be purchased in all other cases. If you have a valid GA Travelcard or ticket (with a Half Fare Travelcard or are under 16 years old), your dog with the Day Pass Dogs will enjoy free travel for a day by train, boat, Postbus and on tram and bus routes in most cities and conurbations.
