Hike from Col du Pillon to Feutersoey

Legs of the hike: Col du Pillon – Lake Retaud – Lake Arnen – Feutersoey

The Three Lakes Hike (Col du Pillon – Lake Retaud – Lake Arnen to Feutersoey) ranks as one of the loveliest tours in the area around Gsteig.

Your postbus takes you in comfort from Gstaad to Col Du Pillon pass, where you set off on this beautiful hike through the Vaud-Berne borderland to Lake Retaud. Fans of fine dining will certainly find what they are looking for at the Hotel-Restaurant Lac Retaud, which serves superb regional dishes.

After crossing the Col de Voré pass, you reach the Tschärzis Valley which leads into the Pillon region. An idyllic mountain lakelet marks the start of the descent to Alp Seeberg, eventually bringing you to Lake Arnen. You'll be tempted to linger awhile here – why not take a pedalo around the lake a couple of times, or try your luck at fishing? You then follow the right-hand shore of the lake to Alp Stuedeli and, finally, you reach Mount Tuxberg.

“Huus am Arnensee” is an idyllic restaurant located on Lake Arnen which boasts a varied menu catering to all tastes. Traditional cuisine prepared with fresh, regional produce, daily specials and a friendly service await you here.

Follow the hiking trail to reach the Feutersoey Postbus stop, located along the last 100 m of the main street.

Two particular highlights of this tour include the beautiful mountain lakes, Lake Retaud and Lake Arnen. Lake Arnen is also known as the “Pearl of the Saanenland”.
